Category Manager Purchasing (f/m/d)

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for the development and implementation of the commodity group strategy for your own commodity groups incl. independent and full handling of the purchasing process for your commodity groups
• Negotiation of multi-year and framework agreements as well as other purchasing conditions including maintenance and expansion of strategic supplier relationships with the goal of a sustainable and cooperative partnership
• Leading supplier development with regard to cost reduction projects, optimizing the number of suppliers and ensuring availability as well as early identification and evaluation of supply risks and deriving suitable measures
• Support of the quality department with regard to supplier development, including quality problems and audits
• Analysis and observation of the procurement markets and identification of suitable procurement sources to expand the supplier portfolio

Your profile:

• After successfully completing your studies (e.g. industrial engineering, economics or similar), you have already gained several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing in an industrial environment (e.g. solar or automotive industry) on the international market
• Ideally, you have industry knowledge in the areas of chemicals, industrial adhesives or electrical components
• It is easy for you to recognize economic contexts and to communicate in German and English with suppliers (if necessary, on business trips) with confidence
