We are looking for a Shipping / Export & Customs Specialist* to strengthen our team.

Are you structured, reliable, and confident in managing international shipping processes? At Freiberg Instruments, you will organize and coordinate global shipments, prepare export and customs documentation, and ensure the professional handling of international deliveries. You can expect a varied role at the interface of logistics, export control, and international customer communication.

Your responsibilities

  • Independently organize and manage international shipping processes

  • Prepare all shipping, export, and customs documents

  • Carry out export control procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant export control regulations

  • Handle customs declarations via ATLAS and coordinate with authorities

  • Apply for export licenses, for example from BAFA

  • Communicate with international customers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers

  • Coordinate and monitor schedules, deliveries, and shipping processes

  • Support packaging and shipping preparation for high-value equipment

Your profile

  • Completed commercial training, ideally in foreign trade, freight forwarding, logistics, or industry

  • Several years of experience in export processing or shipping coordination

  • Sound knowledge of customs handling, ATLAS, and export control regulations

  • Ideally, experience with controlled goods, such as dual-use items or hazardous goods

  • Confident in working with ERP/IT systems and MS Office

  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken

  • Structured, careful, and responsible way of working

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in an international environment

  • Willingness to support practical shipping activities when needed
