About Communardo Group

Communardo Group is a fast-growing European technology and consulting group specializing in Atlassian solutions for modern, enterprise-grade teamwork. Following a successful buy‑and‑build strategy, we operate across DACH, Nordics and BeNeLux and continue to scale towards becoming the leading Atlassian Solutions Partner in Europe.

We combine strong human values, deep ecosystem partnerships and technological excellence to enable our customers’ transformation journeys. As we scale internationally, we are building a unified Group Operating Model that creates predictability, scalability and commercial discipline – while preserving regional accountability and entrepreneurial spirit.

Our Transformation

The Communardo Group is evolving from a collection of strong regional businesses into a unified operating platform. This requires clear ownership of operational integration, delivery excellence, portfolio standardisation and performance governance.

To support accelerated organic growth, margin expansion and successful post‑merger integration, we are establishing a Group Operations platform that enables regions, standardises where it creates value and governs where consistency is essential. The VP Operations plays a central role in architecting and driving this transformation.

The Role

  • What success looks like: Within 12–24 months, the VP Operations will have established a harmonised delivery model, a scalable services catalogue with Communardo IP, and a predictable operational governance cadence. Success is measured by faster PMI execution, improved utilisation and margin, standardised delivery quality, transparent KPIs, and a delivery engine capable of supporting enterprise growth, recurring revenue and AI‑infused service models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration – Post‑Merger Integration (PMI)
    • Own and orchestrate the operational integration of acquired entities into a single Group operating rhythm
    • Develop and maintain PMI playbooks and integration blueprints covering delivery, staffing, tooling and governance
    • Ensure rapid onboarding of new entities into Group standards while minimising disruption to customers and teams
    • Coordinate cross‑functional PMI execution with Finance, IT, People & Culture and Commercial leadership
  • Transformation – Business Model & Delivery Evolution
    • Architect and evolve the Group delivery model, including offshore, nearshore and AI‑infused delivery approaches
    • Identify opportunities for AI enabled service delivery and automation across internal operations (staffing, forecasting, reporting)
    • Drive portfolio standardisation in close collaboration with the Portfolio Lead – enabling packaged offerings, Own IP and repeatable delivery formats
    • Define and standardise resource models, staffing logic, capacity planning and time tracking
    • Enable the shift towards recurring revenue, value‑based pricing and Customer Success engagement models
    • Build scalable delivery playbooks that support enterprise customers, cloud transformation and complex programmes
  • Governance – Standards, KPIs & Performance Management
    • Define and enforce Group‑wide operational standards, processes and KPIs
    • Own delivery governance including utilisation, margin, delivery quality, IP usage and compliance
    • Establish a monthly board‑level operations dashboard providing transparency and decision support
    • Provide operational insights and performance analysis for Board and investor reporting
    • Own ISO 9001 process governance and coordinate ISO 27001 controls with IT
    • Drive continuous improvement through data‑driven insights and operational excellence initiatives
  • Leadership & Enablement
    • Build and lead a small, high‑impact Group Operations & Process Excellence team
    • Act as senior sparring partner to Regional COOs / Delivery Leads
    • Lead change management across regions, aligning stakeholders and embedding new ways of working
    • Balance enablement vs. control in line with Group Operating Model design principles

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior operations leader with deep experience in scaling professional services organisations across multiple regions.

  • Core experience & capabilities
    • 10+ years of experience in operations leadership, ideally in consulting, professional services or SaaS‑enabled services organisations
    • Proven track record in post‑merger integration, operating model design and organisational transformation
    • Strong understanding of professional services economics: utilisation, margin, capacity, delivery governance
    • Experience building standardised delivery models, service catalogues and IP‑based offerings
    • Comfortable operating in matrixed, multi‑country environments, influencing without direct authority
  • Leadership & mindset
    • Builder mindset: energized by creating structure where little exists today
    • Strong systems thinker with a pragmatic, execution‑oriented approach
    • Credible executive communicator with the ability to align diverse senior stakeholders
    • Fluent in business English and German

What to Expect

  • This role sits at the heart of Communardo’s value creation plan. The VP Operations will directly shape how the Group integrates, delivers and scales – with tangible impact on growth, EBITDA and enterprise readiness.
  • You can expect a high‑trust environment, strong executive sponsorship and the opportunity to build a Group‑level capability with long‑term strategic relevance.
  • The role involves close collaboration with an experienced and leadership team across regions, within a culture that values ownership, transparency, diversity and pragmatic execution. It is supported by a competitive, performance-oriented compensation model that recognises individual contribution as well as the shared success of the Group.
