About the role
Innowave Tech develops industrial AI solutions for semiconductor and advanced manufacturing, bringing together intelligent automation, machine vision and predictive insights to help manufacturers improve their operations.
We are looking for an experienced account manager to strengthen our customer relationships in Germany and lead the day-to-day running of our Dresden office. You will bring a relevant industry network, create meaningful opportunities for our sales and technical teams, and keep customer engagements moving from initial discussions through proofs of concept, pilots, purchase orders and project completion.
This role offers the opportunity to combine customer influence, commercial follow-through and local leadership. Customer development and account management will be your primary focus, alongside a smaller, clearly defined office operations remit.
What you will do
- Open doors and develop customer relationships
- Use your established relationships in the semiconductor ecosystem to connect Innowave Tech with relevant decision-makers, technical stakeholders and potential customer sponsors.
- Identify promising accounts and understand their manufacturing challenges, business priorities and decision-making processes.
- Arrange and participate in substantive customer meetings, bringing the right sales and technical colleagues into each conversation.
- Build relationships across manufacturing, engineering, equipment, automation, digital transformation and procurement teams.
- Represent Innowave Tech at relevant industry events and strengthen our presence in Dresden, Saxony and the wider German market.
- Develop new relationships alongside your existing network and turn early interest into qualified opportunities.
Manage accounts through project completion
- Serve as a consistent local point of contact, maintaining momentum after initial meetings, demonstrations and technical discussions.
- Build customer action plans with agreed next steps, accountable owners, decision dates and follow-up.
- Coordinate proofs of concept and pilots with customers and internal specialists, clarifying objectives, scope, success criteria, responsibilities and the decision that follows the evaluation.
- Work with the sales team to progress proposals, procurement requirements, negotiations and purchase orders.
- Maintain continuity after an order is placed: coordinate with project managers and delivery teams, keep customers informed, track commitments and escalate obstacles early.
- Support customer reviews, acceptance and project closeout, then identify appropriate expansion or repeat-business opportunities.
- Keep account plans and CRM records current, giving colleagues a reliable view of stakeholders, opportunity status, risks and next actions.
You will own customer relationship continuity and account coordination, working with the specialists responsible for solution design and technical delivery. Experience independently developing and closing business is an advantage.
Lead Dresden office operations
- Act as the local point of coordination for routine office administration, service providers and headquarters.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, approvals and salary-payment schedules with finance and the relevant payroll service provider.
- Support employee onboarding, leave administration, personnel documentation and routine employee queries.
- Maintain practical awareness of German employment and administrative requirements, coordinate required actions with qualified local advisers and escalate specialist matters promptly.
- Coordinate routine invoices, expenses, office services and administrative deadlines within agreed approval limits.
- Maintain clear records and simple operating routines so the office runs reliably.
The German company has been founded and its entry in the commercial register is in progress. A business bank account and office premises in Dresden are already in place. Your remit is to manage ongoing operations as the business develops.
What you bring
Essential
- An established track record in B2B account management, customer development or a comparable customer-facing role in semiconductors or the semiconductor supply chain.
- A relevant professional network and the credibility to secure meaningful conversations with customer stakeholders.
- Evidence of moving complex customer engagements forward, including evaluations, commercial decisions and delivery follow-through.
- Enough technical and manufacturing understanding to ask useful questions, understand customer priorities and work effectively with engineering colleagues.
- Strong organization and follow-up: you turn meetings into action, maintain accurate records and address stalled decisions.
- The judgment and independence to represent the company locally while collaborating with an international team.
- Professional German and English communication skills for customer discussions, local administration and collaboration with headquarters.
- Willingness to maintain a regular presence in Dresden and travel to customers as required.
Particularly valuable
- Relationships within the Dresden/Saxony semiconductor ecosystem.
- Experience with industrial AI, factory automation, semiconductor equipment, machine vision, manufacturing software or related solutions.
- Additional relationships in advanced manufacturing.
- Experience taking business from prospecting through negotiation and close.
- Experience coordinating a small office, local business operation or routine HR and payroll administration.
We value demonstrated capability and relevant outcomes. We welcome applicants whose experience comes through different educational or career paths.
