Recommendation Alliance is the marketplace for A- and B-Candidates*

We build bridges between employers,

so that they can recommend good specialists to each other.

Become part of Germany's largest recommendation network.

Purpose And Vision

Efficiency in recruiting skilled workers:

Through the mutual recommendation of A- and B-Candidates*, who could not be hired ourselves, we achieve an increase in efficiency (quality, time, costs) in personnel recruitment for all members.

Effectiveness in employer branding:

By systematically transforming rejections into opportunities, the positive employer image as an employer with high social responsibility reaches a large target group.

For employers:

Our vision is to transform the way employers and educational institutions discover and develop talent.

For professionals:

Our goal is a society in which everyone has the potential to find their ideal place in the world of work – quickly, efficiently and with recommendations that open doors.

Our Values

In the referral alliance, the mutual attraction is stronger than the competition for talent. Once we refer someone, we no longer compete, but share the potential.

We believe that everyone deserves more than one chance to find their ideal employer.

The Emergence of the Recommendation Association

An interview with the founder and idea generator Jörg Klukas

Prof. Dr. Jörg Klukas

I have a PhD in computer science and was the HR manager at Telekom MMS for almost eight years. I was extremely happy with my employer and my achievements. It was an ideal place to learn. Although my studies gave me little knowledge of HR management, I had a great management team that taught me everything through practical implementation.

One of my main tasks was to expand the company from 300 to over 1000 employees with many new locations in Germany. This meant hiring over 100 net more employees every year. The management supported me with a decent marketing budget. In addition to the many hires, there were also many rejections. I was constantly faced with the challenge of turning down good applicants. In 2008, managing directors and HR managers of companies in the region that had between 10 and 500 employees asked me to forward my rejections to them. They told me that they had already hired some candidates that I and my team had previously rejected for various reasons. At first I was skeptical because I couldn't imagine that we would turn down qualified applicants. However, after a few conversations with my recruiters, it quickly became clear to me that there are many reasons for rejections that are not always objective: starting with seniority for the desired salary, through special working conditions to simple questions about sympathy, which ultimately represent a cultural fit.

Although I was absolutely willing to help our partner companies and support them in building up their workforce - after all, we received resources from them for our big projects - I wondered whether our big company could also benefit from the recommendations of the smaller ones. I quickly realized that we could also benefit from this collaboration. Despite extensive advertising in cinemas, buses and trains, we did not reach all potential applicants. Many found their employers through personal networks that I could not tap into on my own. The smaller companies had some interesting candidates through their personal networks, who they in turn rejected and whom I searched for in vain with headhunters. This is a win-win for both sides: small and large players. So it was important to me to build a large network with many small and large players.

When five companies had the same idea, we sat down together and found a conceptual, technical and financial solution. That was the moment when the idea for ITsax.de was born and the foundation was laid for the later founding of pludoni GmbH and the recommendation association. Together we developed a concept that recommends specialists in a data protection-compliant and efficient manner, thus creating a bridge between companies and talent. We digitized the mutual recommendation and thus made it easily accessible to all interested companies without generating great effort.

Today, the referral network connects hundreds of organizations and creates synergies every day that benefit everyone involved. Smaller companies can also reach big players like us with their individual networks, creating a truly inclusive ecosystem that benefits everyone - regardless of company size.

The Recommendation Strategy

Over the course of a company's life cycle, valuable resources are created that cannot be further used internally but are of great value to other employers.

  • Not hired A- and B-Candidates*who were considered qualified in the selection processes but did not reach the final selection, or who withdrew their application themselves.
  • working students and trainees, who cannot be taken on after their training phase.
  • Talents laid off for operational reasons, who have to leave the company due to structural changes.
  • graduates of educational institutions, who are considered particularly talented and receive a recommendation.

These talents possess the technical skills inherent in the market and come with the best recommendations from industry experts.

Development of the number of recommended specialists over time

Our TalentSuite

When introducing the Recommendation Association, we sometimes encounter the argument that companies have nothing to recommend. But together we are committed to changing exactly that. With co-innovations, we in the Recommendation Association regularly develop new tools that benefit all members and permanently increase the visibility of each member on the applicant market.

Inklusive Services:

Development of the number of external applications received over time

With each new member, recommendations increase exponentially

Annual referral activity:

This animation illustrates the development of the Recommendation Association since its founding in February 2009. Each circle represents an employer, and each grey arrow shows thatA- und B-Kandidaten*through recommendations from one employer to another. The animation illustrates these changes year after year up to the present day.

Daily Activity Ticker:

The members receive applications and recommendations every day and thus make hires. This live activity ticker shows how active the recommendation association is in recruiting staff.

Growing Target Groups

The referral network enables companies of all sizes to find qualified applicants for all their vacancies by making the entire company a member of the network. Particularly active industries benefit from an intensive exchange of recommendations, while new sectors are welcome to enrich the network. Each new member exponentially increases the placement opportunities through network effects, which significantly increases the efficiency and reach of personnel recruitment.
